Shades of gentle violet and dark blue paint the evening sky,
Somewhere in the dark trees, a bird gives a goodnight sigh.

A cool breeze ripples the lake’s surface,
This evening picture painting life’s purpose;
Showing the magnificence of the world,
With colors of soft violet and blue, together swirled.

The evening sky,
So beautifully constructed by the Creator,
Making souls rise up and fly,
Painted by the gentle brush of the dreaming painter.

Kites

Kites under the roof..!

Unique style of interior decoration made in 'Sky Walk' mall at Chennai. Lots of colorful kites hanging from the ceiling.

In the Second World War the RAF issued pilots with a 'rescue kit' comprising a dingy and a folding box kite called a Gibson Girl which enabled them to send an SOS message from a portable transmitter with the kite line acting as the aerial..!

A man was crossing a road one day when a frog called out to him and said: "If you kiss me, I'll turn into a beautiful princess". He bent over, picked up the frog and put it in his pocket. The frog spoke up again and said: "If you kiss me and turn me back into a beautiful princess, I will stay with you for one week." The man took the frog out of his pocket, smiled at it and returned it to the pocket. The frog then cried out: "If you kiss me and turn me back into a princess, I'll stay with you and do anything you want". Again the man took the frog out, smiled at it and put it back into his pocket. Finally, the frog asked: "What is the matter ? I've told you I'm a beautiful princess, that I'll stay with you for a week and do anything you want. Why won't you kiss me ?" The man said, "Look I'm a software engineer. I don't have time for a girlfriend, but a talking frog is cool."   ...  !!

Sneham

At Infosys Chennai DC, Sneham, our local CSR team, manages a dedicated intranet portal to help employees support education of the children of our housekeeping and security staff. Last year 1,500 members contributed approximately Rs. 14,00,000 to support more than 370 students.
